I am very fortunate to live in a city where there are flowers in January.
I frequently visit Government House Gardens in the summer. It’s beautifully maintained by a team of volunteers and there are two rose gardens that are overflowing with blooms. In the winter, the rose gardens present a very different picture.
There are, however, hellebores or Christmas roses, lots of snowdrops, heather, and I spotted one lone camellia blossom. We also spotted the first signs of crocuses and daffodils.
The ducks were remarkably active, and I thought the sundial was intriguing.
For those of you in cold, snowy Saskatchewan, my apologies. I hope the photographs are reminders that spring is on the way, no matter where you live.
